1. Purpose

This policy outlines how long Deen n' Dunya retains different types of user data and how deletion requests are processed.

2. General Retention Guidelines

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:

• Provide the service
• Maintain platform integrity
• Meet legal obligations
• Support debugging, analytics, and security
• Resolve disputes

3. Retention Schedule

A. Account Information (Name, Email, Profile Data)

Retained until the user deletes their account.

Deleted permanently within 30 days of request.

B. Progress Data (Tasks, Streaks, Tokens)

Retained while the account is active.

Deleted with account closure.

C. Purchase & Billing Data

• Apple/Google retain records independently
• We retain purchase receipts for 2 years for fraud prevention

D. Analytics Data (Mixpanel, Google Analytics)

Stored in aggregated or anonymized form.

May persist after account deletion (non-identifiable).

E. Logs & Error Reports

Stored for 90 days unless required for longer investigations.

F. Mini-App Activity Data

Stored only as long as needed for that mini-app's functionality.

4. User-Initiated Deletion

When a user deletes their account:

• Account is deactivated immediately
• Core data is removed within 30 days
• Backups purge data within 90 days
• Anonymized analytics may persist

5. Changes to Retention

We may update this Policy based on regulatory or operational changes.
